Kameleont Design started its business Spring 2007. Then we designed and manufactured unique clothes in small series, often no more then 2 to 3 of each model. During summer 2007 the work started more serious to produce the first complete collection.

The company have grown rapidly and we now are known in entire Europe, focusing on northern Europe. The first collection Spring-08 was delivered in the beginning of January, 2008. The collection was a huge success for our customers, even if it consisted of some ‘beginner errors’. We did a survey with our consumers during spring 2008 and discovered some improvements that we implemented in the coming collections. We also changed from double sizes to single sizes. After that we have continuously broadened the selection of sizes. From AW-09 – the fourth collection, we are offering the clothes in sizes 80-122. Until fall we will also offer size 128.

Our suppliers and materials are carefully selected focusing on quality, effect on environment and the people work conditions. An environmental friendly material can i.e. be grown ecological, recycled material or geographically close produced – resulting in lower pollution for distribution.

We want to provide fashionable alternatives with quality as an alternative to conventional products. This gives our customers the opportunity to also affect the environment and health in a positive direction! Except just being functionally correct, we want to offer colorful clothes for every day use as well as suitable for feast. Such a universal product have to have high quality in order to gain the right lifetime. We produce our clothes of high quality cotton. Our suppliers can be found in Egypt, India and Lithuania. The factories are small, family owned with rather low numbers of employees. The age of employees is between 26 and 39 years of age. Our factories are working with long fibred cotton, which gives our clothes quality and resistance for rough wear. We often add a few percentage of lucre, in order to keep its shape, wash after wash.

In our environmental thinking we include that all products are produced without formalin, Benzedrine, chlorine, sulfates and so on... The cotton are hand picked without chemicals. (Those chemicals can remain in the cotton and harm the consumer – and also the workers, picking the cotton)
